Correctional EMT

TK Health is seeking a skilled Correctional EMT / ER Technician to join our team in providing high-quality patient care in a correctional setting.

• Perform medical screenings during the booking process in accordance with policies and procedures, current standards of practice and care, and applicable state/federal regulations.
• Monitor patients and report changes in condition or vital signs.
• Conduct vital signs and complete intake screenings in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Observe, record, and report symptoms and conditions related to patients.
• Routinely inspect, clean, and monitor equipment and supplies, reporting any issues for correction or repair.
• Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and others in an accurate and factual manner, seeking clarification or referring questions to the nurse when necessary.
• Work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team and correctional staff in coordinating patient care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician in accordance with state regulations.
• Current CPR certification.
