Job Summary

TK Health is seeking a skilled Correctional EMT / ER Technician to join our team in providing exceptional patient care in a correctional setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform medical screenings during the booking process in accordance with policies and procedures, current standards of practice and care, and applicable state/federal regulations.
  • Monitor patients and report changes in condition or vital signs.
  • Conduct vital sign checks and complete intake screenings in accordance with established protocols.
  • Observe, record, and report symptoms and conditions related to patients.
  • Routinely inspect, clean, and monitor equipment and supplies, reporting any issues for correction or repair.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and others in a clear and factual manner, seeking clarification or referring questions to the nurse as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare team members and correctional staff to coordinate patient care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician in accordance with state regulations.
  • Current CPR certification.
