Oversee the design, development, and execution of innovative manufacturing techniques, focusing on connectors and cable assemblies, while enhancing existing processes to uphold superior product quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with industry regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include:
Initiate and manage continuous improvement initiatives.
Guarantee readiness of Total Effective Manufacturing Cells for new product and process launches (PFMEA; FLOW; STANDARD; ROUTING; SAFETY, etc.)
Provide clear and concise project updates to leadership, demonstrating measurable advancements.
Utilize effective DMAIC methodologies.
Implement A3 Problem Solving techniques – Closed Loop (Is / Is Not; 5Why; Fishbone; DOE; PFMEA)
Define, lead, and execute Kaizen events based on cell KPI analysis.
Ensure the sustainability of enhanced processes through ongoing evaluation and reporting.
Collaborate and communicate with cell operators, engineering teams, and management regarding project requirements, status, and implementation.
Develop and document effective electronic and manual work instructions.
Design, implement, and refine new and existing manufacturing processes and protocols.
Establish and maintain a CAPEX plan to address current and future manufacturing process needs.
Apply Lean Manufacturing principles – VSM; Setup reduction; Flow enhancement; Waste minimization.
Effectively implement and validate new equipment and processes (develop equipment and process validation plans).
Continuously identify, troubleshoot, and resolve manufacturing challenges.
Provide technical support and guidance.
Analyze production trends to formulate improvement strategies.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Requires knowledge typically obtained through:
Completion of a four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Three or more years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Technical writing capabilities.
Presentation skills, with the ability to adapt messages for diverse audiences.
Familiarity with Lean methodologies.
Proficiency in Six Sigma and related technical problem-solving tools.
Understanding of digital factory connectivity.
Ability to produce articles for publication that adhere to specified style and format while effectively conveying information to senior management.
Capability to engage with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and the fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Self-motivated with effective SMART goal management.
Strong time management skills.
Project management proficiency.
