In this position, you will be a vital member of Airtable's internal deployment team. Your role will involve utilizing your Airtable expertise and integration skills to boost internal adoption and expand the functionality and security of existing applications.


Main Responsibilities:

- Manage the intake, prioritization, and execution of Airtable requests from various business units.

- IT Engineering:
Provide training to fellow IT engineers on developing and supporting intricate Airtable solutions. Enhance current IT workflows by leveraging Airtable automations to optimize performance.

- Service Desk:
Collaborate with IT Support to improve Airtable-connected applications and maintain existing integrations.

- New Workflows:
Assist teams in transitioning from spreadsheets or third-party SaaS solutions to Airtable, ensuring a comprehensive understanding and documentation of complex workflow requirements.

- New Feature Implementation:
Regularly enhance existing bases by integrating new features as they become available. Create detailed solution design and implementation plans that outline project scope, timelines, deliverables, and milestones.

- Develop materials and documentation to support end users and business advocates.

- Conduct formal training sessions for IT personnel.

- Collect, document, and relay feedback to product development regarding functionality and user experience.

- Identify critical feature gaps that hinder the effective use of Airtable for specific business processes.

- Provide insights regarding the scope, severity, and frequency of impacts stemming from product limitations.

- Design and implement automation to ensure IT processes are repeatable, scalable, and secure.


- Write standalone code to interact with webhooks or create API integrations to optimize and connect our SaaS applications with Airtable.


- Guide decisions on whether to build or buy integrations and tools for IT and other departments.

- Administer, develop, and support Airtable's corporate-connected applications. Train additional engineers to ensure redundancy in support.


- Implement best practices for Airtable across supported applications.


Qualifications:

- 8+ years of experience in IT Engineering.

- Solution-oriented mindset: Your contributions will have a significant impact across Airtable.

- Proficient in administering and developing SaaS applications, including Google Workspace and Slack.

- Familiarity with modern development practices and the development lifecycle, with experience in Scrum, Kanban, Lean, or other agile methodologies.

- 5+ years of experience in gathering user requirements, developing custom business solutions, and managing distributed systems.

- 5+ years of project management experience (PMP certification preferred).

- Proven success in cross-functional team environments and experience liaising between IT and business stakeholders.

- Strong aptitude for systems thinking, navigating complexity, and prioritizing tasks.

- Exceptional visual, written, and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to distill complex topics and decisions into clear and actionable summaries.

- Well-versed in database design best practices.

- Experience writing shell, Python, or JavaScript code for API interfacing and automation setup.

- Strong project management skills with the ability to set realistic timelines.

- Highly collaborative team player who adapts well in cross-functional settings.

- Comfortable operating in ambiguous situations.

- Comprehensive understanding of the operations within a Services organization.
