Conductor Trainee

We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-focused Conductor Trainee to join our team at BNSF Railway. As a Conductor Trainee, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe movement of trains and freight across our network.

• Switch railcars and ensure safe train movement
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and management
• Monitor and report daily work
• Operate track switches and derails to change train routing
• Inspect cars and track conditions

• Work in extreme all-weather conditions
• Walk and perform work on uneven surfaces
• Work in a safety-sensitive environment
• Loud noise and fumes
• Work on and around heavy and moving machinery

• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to report for duty at the designated work location
• Able to work safely in extreme conditions
• Able to work the required shift/hours
• Able to meet the required travel requirements
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English
• Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds
• Ability to see, learn, and interpret hand signals
