Role Overview

LOCAL CANDIDATES TO IOWA AND NEBRASKA - The Telecom Construction Manager oversees the construction timeline, budget, and quality assurance. This role also directs the resources executing the construction tasks, including direct reports, matrix staff, and subcontractor teams.

  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols, review daily job site safety plans, and halt operations when unsafe practices or conditions arise.
  • Conduct on-site evaluations of specific construction initiatives, collaborating with senior construction managers or project managers for guidance on plan modifications.
  • Possess a solid understanding and experience in Construction and Material/BOM Management, collaborating with various departments.
  • Engage with the client's engineering team while leveraging the company's engineering and management teams for decision-making.
  • Responsible for scheduling, tracking, measuring, and reporting progress to key stakeholders on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Implement the quality assurance program for all work, ensuring compliance with customer specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management is required.
  • Experience in wireless construction is essential.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
  • Availability for day, night, and weekend work to support project completion is essential.
  • An engineering or technical degree is preferred.
  • Active OSHA-30 Certification or higher is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel is a must.

Essential Functions: This role involves intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Hand manipulation is required for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine motor tasks. The ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds is necessary. Candidates must be alert to equipment in the field, work near construction site machinery, and navigate uneven terrain, with potential exposure to dust, gas, fumes, noise, and extreme temperatures.
