Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Director of Resident Care to join our team at The Grove of Forest Lane, a beautiful Assisted Living and Memory Care community. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the delivery of resident care, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and maintaining a safe and secure environment for all residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the delivery of resident care services, including nursing, medication management, and daily living activities.
  • Monitor and report on resident health status, including any changes, reactions to medications, or significant incidents.
  • Conduct pre-admission screenings and updates of prospective new residents, ensuring all required documentation is completed.
  • Develop and implement service plans, coordinating with the resident care team and families to ensure quality proactive care.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and outside contacts, including physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including infection control and safety protocols.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities, including completion of quality assurance surveys and departmental meetings.
Requirements
  • Current nursing licensure (RN/LPN/LVN) issued by the appropriate state licensing agency.
  • Associate's degree in a healthcare-related field.
  • Basic CPR/first aid training and current ECC and/or CORE Training certification.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in supervising and managing a team.
  • One to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
