Position Overview: As a Registered Nurse in the Thoracic Surgery Step-down unit, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients recovering from various thoracic surgical procedures. This role involves working with patients who have undergone esophagectomies, thoracotomies, and other complex surgeries, as well as managing conditions such as heart failure and cardiac arrhythmias.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care in accordance with established protocols.
- Monitor and document patient conditions, ensuring effective communication with the healthcare team.
- Develop and implement patient care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Conduct thorough bedside hand-off reports and daily rounds.
