Role Overview

The Surgical Technician is a vital member of the healthcare team, providing essential support to surgeons and nurses in the operating room. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize sterile supplies and instruments for surgical procedures
• Develop and maintain a sterile surgical field as a member of the surgical team
• Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and transfer
• Maintain accurate records of surgical supplies and equipment
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth surgical procedures
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with best practices and technologies

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology training program or equivalent experience
• Certification as a Surgical Tech (CST) preferred
• 2 years of experience as a Surgical Tech in OB preferred
• Basic Life Support certification required
