About the Role

The Annex Management Group LLC is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our student housing properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, vendors, and community partners.
  • Execute high-quality maintenance and repair work to ensure the properties meet our standards.
  • Manage and oversee maintenance operations, including scheduling and coordinating with vendors.
  • Direct and train maintenance team members on our standard operating procedures.
  • Requisition materials and supplies, including replacement parts, equipment, and capital improvement projects.
  • Participate in budget preparation and administration, coordinating purchasing and documentation.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with our standard operating procedures and preventative maintenance policies.
  • Perform plumbing, electrical, and carpentry duties as needed.
  • Follow all required health and safety guidelines.
  • Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours emergencies.
Work Environment

The work environment for this role will be fast-paced and dynamic, with frequent interactions with residents, vendors, and community partners. You will be required to work in a variety of settings, including outdoor weather conditions, and may be exposed to moderate to loud noise levels.

Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance supervisor role, preferably in a residential property management company.
  • HVAC/EPA certification is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and maintenance skills.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license.
Technical Requirements
  • Working knowledge of MS Office software programs.
  • Ability to effectively use other job-related technology tools.
Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include frequent walking, standing, and sitting, as well as the ability to lift or move 20-70 pounds regularly. You will also be required to frequently walk steps and climb ladders.

Education and Training
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Annual fair housing training and other company-required training.
Compensation

The compensation for this role is $22.00 per hour.
