We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Caregiver Assistant to join our team at Autumn Leaves Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. As a Caregiver Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our geriatric residents.
Key Responsibilities- Meal Service and Hygiene: Distribute resident meal trays and nourishment, collect meal trays, and maintain resident bedsides clean at all times.
- Transportation and Mobility: Transport residents safely and efficiently, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Housekeeping and Laundry: Make resident beds every day, change linens per facility policy, and organize resident drawers and closets.
- Assistance and Support: Assist with resident room changes, retrieve linen carts from laundry, and transport soiled linen barrels to laundry.
- Activities and Engagement: Participate in distributing residents' clothes, distributing water and ice, and making sure water and call lights are within residents' reach.
- Communication and Response: Answer call lights that do not require direct patient care and assist with resident activities.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Skills and Abilities: Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis, work with consideration for residents, and possess a good bedside manner.
- Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
