Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Caregiver Assistant to join our team at Autumn Leaves Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. As a key member of our care team, you will provide exceptional support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Responsibilities
  • Distribute meal trays and nourishment to residents in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Collect meal trays and transport them to the kitchen for cleaning and preparation.
  • Transport residents to various locations within the facility, such as the dining room, activity areas, and their rooms.
  • Make resident beds every day, changing linens as needed and maintaining a clean and organized bedroom environment.
  • Keep resident bedsides clean and tidy, and assist with organizing personal belongings and closets.
  • Assist with resident room changes, including setting up and cleaning rooms.
  • Retrieve linen carts from the laundry and transport soiled linen barrels to the laundry area.
  • Organize linen closets and assist with distributing residents' clothes.
  • Distribute water and ice to residents, ensuring they have access to these essential items.
  • Make sure water and call lights are within residents' reach, promoting independence and safety.
  • Answer call lights that do not require direct patient care, providing a timely response to residents' needs.
  • Assist with resident activities, such as arts and crafts, games, and other engaging events.
Requirements
  • A genuine interest in working with geriatric residents and a willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis.
  • The ability to perform tasks with consideration for residents in your work area, maintaining a safe and respectful environment.
  • A good bedside manner and a commitment to providing exceptional care and support to our residents.
Working Hours

Working hours will be assigned by your supervisor, ensuring a flexible and adaptable schedule that meets the needs of our residents and the facility.
