Job Summary:
Cowlitz County seeks a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our Public Works team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing various public works projects, including roads, drainage systems, water treatment facilities, and other infrastructure initiatives.

Responsibilities:
* Coordinate the design and implementation of public works projects, including roads, drainage systems, water treatment facilities, and other infrastructure initiatives
* Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation plans
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including department heads, engineers, and technicians, to ensure project success
* Provide technical expertise and guidance to colleagues, including project planning, design, and construction management
* Analyze data and make informed decisions to optimize project outcomes and minimize risks
* Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure Cowlitz County's continued leadership in public works innovation

Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
* Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington State or ability to obtain within one year
* 4+ years of experience in civil engineering, including project management, design, and construction
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to communicate complex ideas effectively
* Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with ability to motivate and inspire teams
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Salary and Benefits:
* Competitive salary range: $105,000 - $130,000 per year
