Position Overview

The Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI) is a nonprofit organization focused on supporting individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. We are dedicated to providing high-quality, personalized services through a team of skilled and compassionate professionals.

Location: Residential Services for Adults and Children

Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site

Compensation: $27.78 per hour

Work Hours: Flexible Schedule; Monday to Friday

  • Options include: 7am-3pm, 8am-4pm, or 9am-5pm
  • No weekend or holiday shifts required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the RN Supervisor to develop and implement nursing care plans for assigned clients.
  • Maintain accurate medical records for your caseload.
  • Administer and manage medications according to established protocols.
  • Prepare and assess monthly Medication Administration Records (MARs).
  • Coordinate medical follow-ups and ensure compliance with all medical directives.
  • Act as a liaison with pharmacies to ensure timely medication delivery.
  • Adhere to OPWDD regulatory standards in all aspects of care.
  • Review and analyze nutritional and pharmacological reports.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid New York State Licensed Practical Nurse License.
  • New York State Driver's License is required.
  • Familiarity with OPWDD regulations is preferred.
  • Knowledge of OMRDD regulations is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications are advantageous.
  • Excellent critical thinking abilities are necessary.
