Job Title: Workers Compensation Adjuster

We are seeking a skilled Workers Compensation Adjuster to join our team at LHH Recruitment Solutions. As a Workers Compensation Adjuster, you will be responsible for examining, investigating, and settling workers' compensation insurance claims in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate workers' compensation claims by communicating with injured workers, medical providers, and employer representatives to determine claim validity and ensure compliance with applicable workers' comp statutes.
  • Review medical bills to confirm charges and treatment are related to workers' comp injuries and in accordance with treatment plans.
  • Ensure timely payments for medical bills and income replacement.
  • Communicate with claimants, policyholders, and medical providers regarding claim status and provide answers to their questions.
  • Consult with attorneys on litigation management, settlement strategy, and claim resolution.
  • Open new claims, complete three-point contact, and perform investigations to determine compensability and possible subrogation or apportionment.
  • Set reserves according to office guidelines and make timely recommendations on reserves that exceed authority.
  • Monitor and maintain accuracy of reserves over the life of the claim.
  • Create and execute action plans to bring cases to closure.
  • Make timely payments according to statute and respond to requests within required time frames.
Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Workers Comp adjuster.
  • Licensed in New Mexico to handle Workers Compensation claims.
  • MS Office experience (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Effective negotiation skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $21.63 to $26.44 per hour.
