Job Title: Receptionist

As a Receptionist at The Village Dallas, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their beloved pets. You will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service, scheduling appointments, managing inquiries, and ensuring the smooth operation of our front desk and retail area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet Clients and Pets: Welcome clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanor, setting the tone for a positive experience.
  • Answer Phone Calls and Emails: Respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner, providing accurate information and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Schedule Appointments: Use our booking system to schedule grooming appointments and daycare sessions, ensuring seamless communication with clients and staff.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Keep accurate records of client information, appointments, and payments, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  • Assist with Retail Purchases: Provide product recommendations and answer questions about our products, ensuring clients have a positive shopping experience.
  • Keep the Reception Area Clean: Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked reception area, reflecting positively on our facility.
  • Collaborate with Staff: Work closely with groomers, daycare staff, and management to ensure efficient and effective communication and operations.
  • Handle Customer Concerns: Address customer concerns or issues with empathy and professionalism, striving to exceed client expectations.
Requirements:
  • Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in a customer service or receptionist role, preferably in a pet-related industry.
  • Passion for Animals: A genuine passion for working with animals and providing excellent care to pets and their owners.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and vendors.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with computer systems and software, including booking and point-of-sale systems.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
