Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Transportation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, ensuring their well-being and punctuality.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and customer service. You will work closely with our transportation coordinator to develop and implement safe and efficient bus routes, ensuring that all students are transported safely and on time.

Responsibilities
  • Safely transport students to and from school, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bus, ensuring that it is in good working condition at all times.
  • Develop and implement safe and efficient bus routes, working closely with the transportation coordinator.
  • Ensure that all students are accounted for at the start and end of each route, and that any issues or concerns are reported promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, absences, and incidents, as required by district policy.
  • Collaborate with other transportation staff to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices in transportation safety and customer service.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Good moral character and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as needed.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • A commitment to safety and customer service.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
