Position Overview

The Director of Nursing Support is tasked with the leadership and administration of all nursing support functions that deliver operational, clinical, and quality assistance across nursing divisions. This position requires the coordination of nursing services, adherence to healthcare regulations, and the promotion of a nurturing environment for nursing personnel to provide outstanding patient care. Additionally, this role guarantees that nursing support services align with the organization's quality, safety, and compliance standards. The director collaborates closely with both external and internal service providers to streamline care, negotiate agreements, and assess performance metrics.

Clinical Support Responsibilities

Utilizes the nursing process to provide clinical assistance. Applies knowledge of professional nursing practices to deliver age-appropriate care support grounded in scientific principles, nursing standards, and patient care protocols for diverse patient populations.

Essential Qualifications

Work Experience

A minimum of five years in a leadership or supervisory role is essential, preferably within a clinical environment.

Licensure and Certifications

Must possess a current TX/Compact RN License.

Certifications in CPR, ACLS, and NRP are required.

Preference will be given to candidates with Nurse Executive Leadership certification or equivalent nursing specialty certification.

Educational Background

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is mandatory.
  2. Compliance with unit-specific educational requirements as per Policy NC-A-7.4 (Unit Specific Education Requirements).
