Cibola General Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operating room staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and sterility in our surgical suites.
Key Responsibilities- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that our Sterile Processing department complies with all relevant regulations and standards, including those set by OSHA and the Joint Commission.
- Instrument Preparation: Clean, decontaminate, inspect, and assemble complex surgical instruments and instrument sets, including endoscopes and colon scopes.
- Equipment Operation: Operate cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization equipment to ensure that all instruments and equipment are properly prepared for use.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all Sterile Processing activities, including instrument preparation and equipment operation.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, with previous experience in sterile processing preferred.
- Certifications: Certification as a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician or Certified Registered Central Service Technician is preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for entire shift, maintain productivity standards, and demonstrate technical knowledge of sterile processing.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, customer service, human relations, and interpersonal skills, as well as organizational skills, attention to detail, and self-motivation.
