Sterile Processing Technician

At Cibola General Hospital, we are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the policies, procedures, and practices of the Sterile Processing department comply with standards established by regulatory agencies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sterile processing and be able to maintain accurate documentation in accordance with OSHA and Joint Commission standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Clean, decontaminate, inspect, and assemble surgical instruments and equipment.
  2. Operate cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization equipment.
  3. Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous sterile processing experience preferred.
  • Certification as a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician or Certified Registered Central Service Technician is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for entire shift.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
