Job Summary

This position provides medication management services using evidence-based practices that support client treatment and facilitate safe, secure, and therapeutic interventions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage weekly schedules to maintain client hours.
  • Perform initial assessments and evaluate client needs using various methods.
  • Conduct follow-up sessions and develop medication treatment plans.
  • Understand and apply medical decision-making to bill E/M codes.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to support medication management.
  • Coordinate caseloads to align with prescription refills and client-centered care.
  • Perform prescription management and adhere to ethical and legal policies and standards for prescribing.
  • Complete prior authorizations for medications as needed.
  • Document client requests related to medications.
  • Refer clients for additional testing as needed to inform medication management.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and coordinate care.
  • Provide coverage for client care when other providers are out of the office.
Requirements
  • Master's or Doctoral Degree in Nursing.
  • APRN certification.
  • Active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in Minnesota (CNP, APRN).
  • PMHNP-BC or pursuing mental health certification.
  • 1+ years of clinical experience as an APRN in a psychiatric setting.
  • Proven knowledge of regulatory standards governing care delivery and operations.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Reside in Minnesota.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Diagnostic assessment experience.
  • Experience in outpatient mental health.
  • Experience in clinical documentation.
  • Experience in treatment planning and maintaining a caseload.
  • Experience entering information in Electronic Health Records (EHR) Systems.
  • Experience reading and interpreting information, such as reports, general correspondence, professional publications, and government regulations.
  • Experience presenting information and responding to questions from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the effects of mental illness and seeking information from various disciplines applicable to treatment.
