Essential Qualifications

Educational Background: Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.

Certifications and Licenses:

Certification in Basic or Advanced Life Support is mandatory. A valid license or temporary license issued by the Texas Medical Board (MRT) is essential. Registration as a Radiologic Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R) is required.

Experience / Knowledge / Skills:

Proficiency in assisting with patient mobility and positioning in collaboration with team members to fulfill job responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Conducts specialized and invasive radiological procedures on patients while adhering to all radiation safety protocols: Prepares patients for examinations, clarifies procedures, administers contrast agents when necessary, positions patients appropriately for imaging, selects suitable imaging methods, and ensures the technical quality of the resulting images. Inputs and monitors patient information accurately. Performs quality control checks on radiological equipment and may assist with the initial and renewal applications for ACR and other accreditations. Identifies and reports any incidents, complaints, or equipment issues to departmental management. Participates in emergency on-call duties within the department. Ensures the provision of safe care to patients, staff, and visitors; complies with all policies, procedures, and standards set by Memorial Hermann, including time management, resource management, productivity, and service quality. Encourages personal professional development by fulfilling requirements for mandatory and continuing education and skills competency; supports departmental objectives that contribute to the organization's success; acts as a mentor and resource for less experienced colleagues. Demonstrates a commitment to providing compassionate care to all community members by creating personalized experiences. Upholds Memorial Hermann's service standards by delivering safe, caring, personalized, and efficient experiences to patients and team members. Performs additional duties as assigned.
