Job Summary

Conagra Brands is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Operations Manager to lead our manufacturing operations. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing overall leadership for the plant operations, including production efficiency, product quality, regulatory compliance, physical asset management, supply chain effectiveness, cost control, workplace safety and security, community and employee relations, and human capital development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve plant operations and achieve business objectives.
  • Lead and manage a team of production, engineering, maintenance, planning, procurement, quality, safety, and logistics professionals.
  • Provide direct oversight for the operations management team and ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Manage facility budget, including capital expenditures and cost management.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, including OSHA, EPA, USDA, FLSA, EEO, OFCCP, and NLRB.
  • Collaborate with Research and Development to improve product development and manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and implement a culture of open and honest communication, employee engagement, and diversity and inclusion.
  • Provide leadership for diversity and positive community involvement and relations.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to create employee relations processes and develop managers to maintain a positive working environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Industrial Management, Engineering, Food Science, Management, or Operations.
  • 7+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in a significant leadership role in a plant.
  • Experience in multiple pillars of TPM (Leadership, Organization Capability, Focused Improvement, Progressive Maintenance, Autonomous Maintenance, Early Management, Supply Chain, Quality, and Safety).
  • Manufacturing experience in a Food, Beverages, Chemical, or related industry.
  • Change Management skills.
  • Food safety background.
  • USDA experience.
  • Union experience.
