Dental Assistant II Position

Job Summary:
The Chairside Dental Assistant (Dental Assistant II) is a vital member of our healthcare team at HealthPoint (Washington). This role is responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our dental providers and hygienists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and prepare patients for exams by identifying their chief complaint and taking vitals.
- Access and update patient information in our Electronic Dental Record (EDR) and Electronic Practice Management (EPM) computer system as required.
- Provide chair side assistance to dental providers with exams and procedures, including prophylaxis, root canals, restorative, crowns, and bridges.
- Perform digital imaging, prophylaxis, sealants, and provide telephone refilling of medications. Record medication refills in patient records.
- Provide instructions to patients on the use of medications as directed by the provider.
- Provide instruction in home care and give general health information as directed by a provider.
- Sterilize used equipment, instruments, and operatories following OSHA and WISHA guidelines. Prepare and stock operatories at the start and throughout each day.
- Act as liaison between receptionists and providers to ensure timely and orderly patient flow throughout the clinic.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patients' medical/dental records, financial, and personal information.
Requirements:
- Certificate from an accredited Dental Assistant program or comparable experience of three (3) months of Dental Assistant Training.
- Maintain current registration/licensure with the State of Washington.
- Possess basic operating knowledge of computers. Beginning level of Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
- Ability and willingness to work Saturdays.
