As a Safety and Security Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment for both staff and patrons. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring the safety of all individuals within the facility.
Key Responsibilities- Safeguard the well-being of employees and guests.
- Assist in the secure transportation of cash and gaming chips.
- Manage access to restricted zones within the establishment.
- Respond promptly to incidents involving patrons and staff.
- Monitor the movement of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
- Identify and report any safety hazards.
- Handle incoming communications and direct inquiries appropriately.
- Operate company vehicles or equipment as necessary, requiring a valid Driver's License.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
- Foster positive interpersonal relationships among team members.
- Exhibit strong oral and written communication abilities.
- Understand and apply the Emergency Disaster Plan Manual.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming/racing license.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a security role within a hospitality or gaming environment.
The physical demands of this position require the ability to perform essential functions effectively. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities. Duties may involve:
- Frequent sitting or standing, walking, and using hands for various tasks.
- Reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Communicating effectively with others.
- Lifting, pushing, and pulling items weighing up to 25 lbs.
The work environment may vary in noise levels, often being moderate to loud, and will require active observation of guests and operations throughout the assigned areas.
