Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver extensive case management services to trauma survivors, encompassing safety planning, crisis intervention, and tailored service plans.
  • Perform comprehensive assessments to identify survivors' immediate requirements and formulate suitable intervention strategies.
  • Champion the rights and needs of survivors within legal and social service contexts.
  • Work alongside interdisciplinary teams to synchronize services and ensure a comprehensive, trauma-informed approach.
  • Assist survivors in obtaining essential resources and support services, including housing, legal assistance, counseling, and medical care.
  • Provide emotional support and empowerment counseling to promote healing and personal development.
  • Facilitate support groups and educational sessions for survivors and their families.
  • Establish and nurture strong partnerships with community organizations to enhance service delivery and improve access for survivors.
  • Maintain precise and confidential records of survivor interactions, progress, and outcomes.
  • Engage in continuous training and professional growth to expand knowledge and skills in victim advocacy and trauma-informed care.
  • Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in the field of victim services.
  • Collaborate with program leadership to assess and improve services based on survivor feedback and program outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience in victim advocacy, case management, or a similar field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles and best practices.
  • Understanding of legal and social service systems and resources available for survivors.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with survivors and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to provide compassionate emotional support and advocacy for survivors in a non-judgmental manner.
  • Proficiency in electronic case management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Cultural sensitivity and capability to work with diverse populations.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
