Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Clinical Staff: Oversee the daily activities of clinical and non-clinical staff, ensuring that patient care needs are met and clinical objectives are implemented.
  • Assess Patient Care Needs: Conduct daily assessments of patient care needs and develop patient care assignments for clinical and non-clinical staff.
  • Delegate Duties: Delegate appropriate duties to clinical and non-clinical staff based on their assessed skills and abilities, in accordance with applicable state nurse practice acts.
  • Evaluate Staff Performance: Evaluate the care delivered by clinical and non-clinical staff, providing direct and immediate feedback and coaching as needed.
  • Participate in Hiring Process: Participate in the hiring process for new staff members, conducting interviews and making hiring recommendations to the clinical leader.
Requirements
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date required. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date required.
  • Education: Required professional licensure/certification and 1 year of cumulative job-specific experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hospice or Home Health Experience: One year of hospice or home health experience strongly preferred.
