The Materials Planner will be responsible for developing and managing inventory schedules, ensuring a seamless flow of materials to support production demands, and fostering strong relationships with suppliers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the consistent availability of raw materials and components for production.
- Develop and maintain an inventory schedule aligned with production plans and customer requirements.
- Manage supplier relationships and identify alternative sources when necessary.
- Oversee the planning, scheduling, and expedited delivery of materials from vendors.
- Monitor and optimize inventory levels to meet production needs.
- Engage in engineering change initiatives.
- Track and enhance vendor delivery performance.
- Ensure compliance with production schedules.
- Update and maintain the ERP system.
- Coordinate on-site cycle counts effectively.
- Contribute to the Purchased Material Cost Reduction Program for both raw materials and purchased components.
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration with all departments.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the automotive sector.
- At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with ERP and MRP systems.
- Understanding of material handling strategies such as Just-In-Time (JIT) and visual replenishment tools like KANBAN.
