Position: Senior Construction Estimator

Role Summary: We are in search of a seasoned Senior Construction Estimator to join our Building Group. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate project estimates and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage project estimation and budgeting processes.
  • Participate in on-site pre-bid meetings and site assessments.
  • Prepare comprehensive and precise estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracting needs.
  • Develop scopes of work for various trades to ensure thorough project coverage.
  • Evaluate subcontractor proposals, ensuring optimal value and alignment with project requirements.
  • Facilitate bid solicitation to enhance vendor engagement.
  • Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Present cost estimates in accordance with client proposal requests, considering all relevant conditions.
  • Maintain an updated database of cost codes for historical reference.
  • Address inquiries from clients and regulatory bodies effectively.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of seven years of experience in estimating construction projects valued between $5 million and $100 million.
  • Demonstrated ability to approach problems creatively and analytically, showcasing teamwork and innovation.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in interpreting and organizing construction plans and specifications.
  • Ability to work autonomously while exercising sound judgment.
  • Proficient multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively under pressure.
  • Familiarity with various bidding methods is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software.
  • Experience in new construction projects in sectors such as office, healthcare, and retail is preferred.
