Salary and Benefits
The starting compensation for this role ranges from $56,000 to $77,000, depending on various factors including experience, education, certifications, and tenure with Uncommon Schools. We offer comprehensive benefits, including generous paid time off, extensive training and development opportunities, and a range of health insurance plans.
Job Description
As an Educational Leader for Elementary Grades, you will play a critical role in cultivating a love for learning in every student from the very start. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to create a culturally responsive, fast-paced, and engaging learning environment that empowers students to engage in academic discourse and achieve academic excellence.
Responsibilities
- You will co-teach and build a joyful classroom environment that encourages mastery and promotes student engagement.
- You will teach basic principles of mathematics, reading, writing, science, and social studies to build students' literacy skills and knowledge of essential subjects.
- You will analyze data to inform instruction and implement strategies to differentiate instruction for all learners in your classroom.
- You will partner with families to ensure appropriate resources are available to support their children's learning needs.

- Prior experience in impacting K-12 students in urban schools and communities (1-2 years preferred). A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and teacher certification are also required.
