The Pharmacy Services Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily functions of the designated pharmacy department. This role involves overseeing all levels of pharmacy personnel and contributing to the establishment and execution of specific objectives and goals relevant to the supervisory area.
Key ResponsibilitiesThis position entails:
- Supervising pharmacy staff and ensuring adherence to operational standards.
- Conducting patient assessments and developing, evaluating, and modifying care plans as necessary.
- Interpreting and executing complex patient care procedures specific to pharmacy services.
All personnel are expected to embody the mission and values of the University of Maryland Medical System by committing to deliver the highest quality healthcare services to the communities served.
Reporting StructureThe Pharmacy Services Supervisor reports directly to the Pharmacy Operations Manager.
QualificationsEducation: Must be a graduate from an accredited pharmacy school.
Licensure: A current Maryland pharmacy license or eligibility for licensure in Maryland is required.
Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare setting is required.
Work Environment- Work is performed indoors in a clean and well-lit environment.
- The role is fast-paced, with frequent interruptions and varying workloads.
- There is potential exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials, necessitating adherence to safety protocols.
- Flexibility in working hours may be required based on departmental needs.
