Team Dynamics:
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role within the Fidelity Global Security and Technology Team. Your responsibilities will encompass the installation, upkeep, and service coordination of Fidelity's physical security systems. These systems comprise electronic access control, IP video surveillance, intrusion detection, intercom systems, electronic locking mechanisms, network infrastructure, and related software. This position is vital for supporting Fidelity Investments' Security Technology hardware framework.
Required Expertise and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Over 5 years of experience in the technology sector, focusing on the installation, implementation, and integration of physical security systems and software.
- Possession of a State of Massachusetts Class D Low Voltage license.
- Proficient in the installation, research, testing, and deployment of advanced physical security technologies.
- Manufacturer certifications in leading network, access control, and video management systems.
- OSHA 10 Certification or higher.
- Experience in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues related to security systems.
- Proficient in access control system programming and configuration.
- Experience with SIP IP intercom systems, including installation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of IP video camera installation, configuration, and support.
- Expertise in intrusion detection system installation and maintenance.
- Understanding of physical security operational requirements.
- Ability to develop and implement technology-driven policies and procedures.
- Experience in IT network infrastructure installation and management.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to modern technologies.
- Capability to travel to various Fidelity locations as needed.
- Experience in translating business requirements into technical designs and architectural strategies.
- Strong leadership skills to facilitate group discussions and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Proven track record in leading security technology installation projects from conception to execution.
- Familiarity with cloud-based solutions and architectures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Experience working across various network infrastructure components.
- Contribute to maintaining global Technical Security standards and ensuring compliance.
- Engage in working groups to address Technical Security operations and product support.
- Support the establishment of robust governance structures for all Technical Security platforms.
