Job Title: Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Supplier Quality Specialist to join our dynamic team at Collins Aerospace, a subsidiary of RTX. This individual will play a critical role in driving supplier quality and development processes, ensuring that our suppliers meet and exceed our rigorous standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and conduct supplier qualification, certification, and assessment processes to ensure compliance with Collins Aerospace standards.
  • Analyze quality data and develop part-specific corrective actions and resolutions for quality issues.
  • Lead processes for supplier qualification, source inspection, material release, and Correction Action Boards/DQ Clinics.
  • Proactively support the Supplier Gold and ZDPTM programs, ensuring continuous improvement and sustainability.
  • Perform ZDPTM training, reviews, and mentoring for assigned suppliers to enhance their quality performance.
  • Review and recommend improvements for processes and metrics to manage work transfer, process changes, and PPAP acceptance.
  • Manage supplier quality issues, including monitoring, escalation, and resolution of non-conforming materials.
  • Drive root cause analysis, problem solving (Red-X & 8D), and corrective actions for systemic issues related to supplier products.
  • Conduct supplier system and product audits to verify compliance with Collins Aerospace requirements.
  • Use quality tools (e.g., PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow and Control Plans, SPC) to develop and implement supplier-specific quality initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.
