We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse 2 or 3 TB Clinic Specialist to join our team at the Georgia Department of Public Health. As a key member of our public health nursing team, you will play a critical role in providing professional nursing care to populations with special needs, promoting health and safety, and ensuring timely and appropriate treatment.
Key Responsibilities- Identify high-risk populations and develop targeted interventions based on their needs and available resources.
- Provide treatments, administer medication and vaccines, and offer preventive and maintenance care to patients and families in accordance with care plans and physician treatment plans.
- Screen and refer clients to other community service providers as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university and current Georgia license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse, or Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and one year of PHN experience and completion of a PHN course within one year of hire.
- CPR certification and one year of nursing experience, or two years of nursing experience and completion of a PHN course within one year of hire.
- Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, professional experience in public health nursing, and experience in the specialized area of assignment.
This position does not require extensive physical exertion, but may involve some lifting and walking. Confidentiality and precise data entry are essential, and punctuality and adherence to assigned work schedules are required.
