The Resource Coordination Specialist plays a vital role in assisting individuals in discovering and accessing a variety of financial, healthcare, educational, and other essential resources. This position is responsible for providing community resource information, making suitable referrals, and following up on those referrals to ensure comprehensive support for the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate clients' needs and deliver information along with community referrals for necessities such as clothing, food, shelter, rapid housing services, rental assistance, and general assistance.
  • Guide clients in completing various applications, including food assistance, Medicaid, employment applications, and public assistance recertification paperwork.
  • Manage the identification program to assist members in obtaining necessary identification documents, including birth certificates, social security cards, and marriage licenses.
  • Stay informed about community resources and services available.

Work Schedule:

Full-time:
Monday to Friday | 40 hours per week | Eligible for benefits including 6 weeks of paid time off and 11 holidays.

Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $18.03 per hour

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree in a mental health-related field.
  • Familiarity with community resources and methods for accessing them.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with individuals who have received mental health and/or substance use services.
  • Willingness to share personal experiences related to mental health and/or addiction recovery.
  • Capability to work compassionately and professionally with individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
  • Proficiency in Excel, MS Office applications, and general computer skills.
  • Bilingual abilities are advantageous.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
