Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily pharmacy operations, ensuring efficiency in workflow and adherence to production goals.
  • Oversee the ordering, handling, and documentation of controlled substances, maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal pharmacy regulations.
  • Supervise pharmacy staff to guarantee accurate order entry, secure pharmacy environment, and timely deliveries.
  • Prepare and supervise the preparation of sterile IV medications and solutions.
  • Verify the accuracy of all new and refill prescriptions, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
  • Maintain adherence to DEA regulations and other relevant government guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid pharmacist license in Georgia.
  • Recent experience in a pharmacist role, particularly in a Long Term Care environment.
