CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant - Part-Time Night Shift - Long Term Care

The Nursing Assistant (NA) plays a vital role in providing resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents in our long-term care facility. As a member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for delivering age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of our residents, as outlined in their care plans. You will also be expected to follow infection prevention and control policies and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed.
Responsibilities include assisting residents with daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and providing psychosocial support. You will also assist with transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment, as well as providing range of motion and passive exercises. Additionally, you will complete tasks related to food preparation and dining, creating a positive dining experience for our residents. You will also assist with meal and snack service, providing water and supplements as needed.
As a Nursing Assistant, you will also aid providers and nursing staff members with procedures, document resident interactions and outcomes, and communicate resident changes and care-related concerns to the charge nurse. You will collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs, provide housekeeping and laundry services, and participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed.
Requirements
We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with a high school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of 16 years of age. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care is preferred. You must be certified as a CNA with the State Board of Nursing or obtain certification within four months of hire by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement. CNA training and certification are provided by our facility.
