Job Title: CDL Class A Delivery Driver

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled CDL Class A Delivery Driver to join our team at Performance Food Group. As a CDL Class A Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering and unloading food and food-related products to customers in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes to deliver and unload food and food-related products to customers.
  • Communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally to ensure questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Perform all required safety checks, including inspections of the tractor/truck and trailer, to ensure they meet company safety standards.
  • Report all safety issues and/or repairs required.
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.

Requirements:

  • 12+ months commercial driving experience.
  • Valid CDL A.
  • Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
  • Pass road test.
  • Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 months food industry experience using hand truck.
  • Onboard computer and electronic log system experience (i.e., PeopleNet).
  • Hand-held point of delivery scanning system experience (i.e., POD).
  • Customer service-related work experience.
