Job Title: Class A CDL Delivery Driver

At Performance Foodservice, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class A CDL Delivery Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering and unloading food and food-related products to our customers in a safe and timely manner.

Job Summary:

The Class A CDL Delivery Driver will be responsible for:

  • Driving a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes to deliver and unload food and food-related products to customers.
  • Communicating and interacting with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a professional manner.
  • Performing all required safety checks and inspections to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Reporting any safety issues or repairs required.
  • Following all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 12+ months of commercial driving experience.
  • A valid CDL A license.
  • Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
  • Be 21 years of age or older.
  • Have a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
  • Pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
  • Pass a road test.
  • Have a valid current DOT Health Card or be able to secure a new one.
Preferred Qualifications:

While not required, we prefer candidates with:

  • Food service delivery experience.
  • Onboard computer and electronic log system experience.
  • Hand-held point of delivery scanning system experience.
  • Customer service related work experience.
