Job Summary:

The Network Systems Administrator will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and security of our IT systems, ensuring 24-hour network connectivity, and providing help desk support to our users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and maintain network systems and applications
  • Perform daily operations and maintenance tasks to ensure network uptime
  • Provide help desk support to users, troubleshooting and resolving software and hardware issues
  • Implement cybersecurity policies and procedures to protect our systems and data
  • Assist with the operations and maintenance of legacy voice networks
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • COMPTIA Security+ certification required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in computer maintenance and networking
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Windows administration
  • Familiarity with Cisco IOS and HP OS routing and switching environments
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will be based in Pituffik, Greenland, and will be required to work in a challenging environment with extreme temperatures and limited transportation assets.

The Army Post Office receives mail once a week, and medical facilities are available but limited. The candidate must be able to lift up to 20-30 pounds and work extended hours, including weekends and holidays.

Rotation schedule will be 8 weeks on and 5 weeks off, with the possibility of adjustment.
