Position Overview:

The Chemical Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the quality control processes and ensuring the safety of operations within the chemical production environment. This position is essential for maintaining high standards of product integrity and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

The incumbent will be responsible for the following:

  • Leading a team of three personnel in daily operations.
  • Conducting regular safety inspections and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
  • Facilitating effective communication and information transfer between shifts.
  • Managing the packaging, labeling, and storage of chemical products.
  • Maintaining clear communication with internal teams and external partners regarding product shipments and inquiries.
  • Overseeing the loading and unloading of materials and operating necessary equipment.
  • Ensuring adherence to operational procedures and quality management systems.
  • Reporting any discrepancies or issues to the Operations Manager promptly.
  • Participating in safety and quality assurance meetings.
  • Completing all required training in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Utilizing equipment safely and effectively, including forklifts and handling tools.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of three years of supervisory experience in a chemical or industrial setting.
  • A high school diploma is required; an associate degree or relevant certifications are advantageous.
  • The physical capability to lift and move materials weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Proficiency in both verbal and written communication in English.
  • Experience operating forklifts and performing warehouse duties.
  • Successful completion of background checks and pre-employment screenings.
