Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and versatile Promotions Manager to lead and direct the Promotions department to support SBS stations in coordination with the Sales department and Corporate initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing, event planning, and public relations, with excellent communication and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate station staff for promotion events and ensure seamless execution.
- Support sales and programming department's initiatives and manage tasks in accordance with goals and objectives.
- Develop strategic plans for all promotions based on research and direction from Programming.
- Organize and lead teams for every activation and assist with new employee onboarding and training programs.
- Provide regular updates to staff/management and participate in meetings as needed.
- Meet with Sales and Programming weekly to obtain briefing on advertising priorities, long-term goal progress, and critical market shifts.
- Keep sales and operations teams updated on all campaign developments.
- Ability to train and lead station's street team to meet station objectives.
- Ability to negotiate partnership deals on behalf of the station.
- Responsible for managing stations' promotional giveaways and displays, including signage and print collateral materials.
- Manage and/or work trade shows/events, including flexible hours and weekends as needed.
- Reports to Director of Sales Promotion/Sponsorships.
- Works with Vcreative to schedule on-air giveaways, including rules when necessary.
- Pulls winners and manages prize fulfillment, including calling winners.
- Manages/Schedules Street Team for promotional events, including remotes, van hits, station events, etc.
- Trains and leads station's street team to meet station objectives.
- Responsible for execution of client asks at station remotes.
- Manages and/or works trade shows/events.
- Executes digital aspects of a promotion, including postings.
- Identifies community events, parades, tree lightings, marathons, etc.
- 3-5 years of leadership work experience.
- College degree or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in managing and building strong business relationships.
- Customer-oriented approach.
- Self-initiating with the ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt easily to any requirement with a solution.
- Leader mindset.
- Organized, dependable, dedicated, and detail-oriented team player.
- Ability to work evening, overnight, and weekends.
- Valid Driver License is required.
- Fluent in English/Spanish.
- Good Communication skills, oral/written.
