Job Summary and Qualifications

Our Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging Department offers a wide array of services to assist in the screening, diagnosis, and treatment of medical conditions and urgent injuries. Some responsibilities of our Radiologic Technologist include:

  • Operating x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of specified body areas.
  • Performing x-ray therapy on patients under the supervision of a Radiologist, explaining procedures to patients, and addressing their concerns.
  • Serving patients in our emergency department, hospital patients, and outpatient individuals requiring services.
  • Conducting procedures according to established protocols for patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics.
  • Maintaining expert technical and patient-care skills while delivering quality diagnostic results.
Qualifications Required:
  • Completion of an AMA-approved Radiology Technology training program with current ARRT certification.
  • Must maintain current registry by participating in continuing education activities to uphold knowledge and skill level.
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
  • Possessing critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to perform tasks that involve frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Preferred: 2 years of recent acute care experience.
