Core Faculty Position in Family Medicine with Obstetrics

Position Overview: Universal Health Services (UHS) is seeking a dedicated Family Medicine Physician to fulfill a vital role within our Graduate Medical Education (GME) Program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Allocate a minimum of 60% of your professional time, equating to at least 24 hours weekly or 1200 hours annually, to the instruction, administration, scholarly activities, and patient care associated with the Family Medicine Residency Program.
- Facilitate residents and medical students in managing clinical cases, particularly focusing on obstetric patients, while guiding their analytical and treatment approaches.
- Ensure continuity of care through direct supervision and patient care at the residency continuity clinic.
- Engage in teaching the didactic curriculum, resident clinics, and conferences, ensuring that instruction is evidence-based and aimed at enhancing resident competency.
- Participate in scholarly activities relevant to residents and faculty that meet ACGME standards.
- Exemplify professionalism and ethical conduct, serving as a role model for residents.
- Conduct timely evaluations of residents in accordance with ACGME and UHS policies, assisting the Program Director in verifying resident completion of program requirements.
- Contribute to the annual recruitment process, including reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and assisting in decision-making discussions.
- Report any resident or medical student challenges to the Program Director promptly.
- Adhere to ACGME and Medical Education Department policies, actively participating in any necessary disciplinary processes.
Qualifications: Ideal candidates will possess Board certification or eligibility from a relevant specialty Board, having completed an AOA or ACGME accredited internship and residency. Candidates should also obtain privileges to admit patients, including obstetric cases. Additional qualifications may include an Obstetrics fellowship or significant post-residency experience in prenatal, delivery, and postnatal care.
