Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety and Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for supporting the execution, compliance, and enhancement of internal and external safety programs. Your primary objective will be to drive a behavior-based safety culture to achieve accident-prevention and loss mitigation at E2 Optics customer locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Safety Programs: Create and execute safety training programs, conduct regular audits, and provide guidance on safety protocols to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Lead by Example: Promote a safety-first culture by demonstrating safe work practices and company policies, and fostering a collaborative environment that encourages open communication and feedback.
  • Collaborate with Field Staff: Work closely with field staff, leads, and supervisors to promote safe work practices and safety awareness culture, and provide coaching and training as needed.
  • Conduct Incident Investigations: Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Develop and Maintain Safety Policies: Create, update, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide Training and Support: Deliver safety training programs, provide guidance on safety protocols, and offer support to employees to ensure they have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their jobs safely.
  • Monitor and Report Safety Metrics: Track and analyze safety metrics, including incident rates, injury frequencies, and near-miss events, to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Regulatory Requirements: Stay current with changing regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and emerging trends in occupational health and safety.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma required, Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in occupational health and safety, preferably in a construction environment.
  • Certifications: OSHA 30, Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), or OSHA Trainer.
