Senior Cloud Software Engineer

As a Senior Cloud Software Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in designing and building high-scale, cloud-based data processing systems that can handle massive amounts of data with low latency.
Responsibilities- Implement distributed, scalable, and fault-tolerant software systems.
- Build cloud services on top of the modern OCI infrastructure.
- Participate in peer/code reviews.
- Invest in the best engineering and operational practices upfront to ensure our software quality bar is high.
- Optimize data processing pipelines for orders of magnitude higher throughput and faster latencies.
- Leverage a plethora of internal tooling at OCI to develop, build, deploy, and troubleshoot software.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Strong OO design and programming experience in one or more JVM languages.
- Demonstrated competence in taking ambiguous functional and/or product requirements and partitioning them based on functional alignment.
- Experience with working with technical leadership to translate requirements into actionable technical requirements and per-component designs.
- Experience with all aspects of the development, characterization, and deployment of features spanning multiple components.
- Experience with distributed systems implementing SaaS/IaaS, data pipelines, data ETL in real-time or batch environments.
- Experience in technologies and design concepts around Big Data processing, Analytics, relational databases, unstructured storage, Hadoop or similar parallel compute technologies, stream processing, etc.
- Familiarity with Public Cloud SaaS, PaaS Services, and/or related technology experience, Cloud Engineering Infrastructure Development.
- 5+ years of experience using an object-oriented programming language.
- Experience with partnering with managers to participate in defining and driving the technical culture and processes of an engineering team.
- Experience building services and API endpoints.
