The Sanitation Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that all designated areas are maintained in a clean and hygienic manner, utilizing supplies efficiently and following established cleaning protocols.

This position involves executing cleaning tasks in accordance with approved departmental procedures.



Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time, hourly role with a competitive wage starting at $15.00+ per hour.

Additionally, Edgemere provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, along with generous paid time off and holiday leave, as well as a 401K plan.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks as per the departmental schedule and established cleaning protocols, ensuring all assigned areas are serviced, cleaned, and stocked appropriately.
2. Safely dispose of hazardous and infectious waste in compliance with infection control guidelines.
3. Manage waste disposal by emptying wastebaskets and transporting refuse to designated disposal locations.
4. Maintain cleanliness of floors, common pathways, and communal spaces.
5. Adhere to procedures for using chemical cleaners and equipment to avoid damage to surfaces and fixtures.
6. Apply cleaning agents as necessary and conduct spot cleaning between regular washings, ensuring disinfection when required.
7. Report any issues related to structural integrity or equipment functionality.
8. Respond to emergency cleaning situations, including water extraction and carpet removal in case of flooding.
9. Initiate requests for cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper labeling and storage of chemicals.
10. As needed, perform deep cleaning tasks and floor refinishing.
11. Collaborate with other departments on cleaning and janitorial duties.

Maintain compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

Regular and punctual attendance is essential for this role.


Qualifications:
No formal education is required. Candidates should possess basic arithmetic skills, be able to understand measurements, and follow both written and verbal instructions.
No prior experience is necessary; a willingness to learn is essential.
