Salary InformationThe estimated salary for this position ranges from $85,000 to $115,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job ResponsibilitiesThis senior nurse specialist will be a key leader in providing patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. Key responsibilities include:
- Effectively delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members;
- Assume accountability for quality patient outcomes;
- Exhibit sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity in all interactions;
- Maintain involvement in activities aimed toward the achievement of unit and departmental strategic goals and objectives;
- Demonstrate professional responsibility and accountability for their own practice.
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- A registered nurse diploma, with an associate or bachelor's degree in nursing preferred;
- A current registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice;
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association;
- Good organizational and time management skills, along with the ability to be self-directed;
- Excellent judgment, interpersonal skills, and adaptability.
This role requires heavy lifting, exerting up to 100 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds frequently. It also involves exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue, as well as potential occupational risks for communicable diseases and hazardous materials.
