Job Summary:

Della Infotech is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team in Great Barrington MA. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of technical procedures, requiring independent judgment and ingenuity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a wide variety of technical procedures, requiring independent judgment and ingenuity.
  • May be assigned independent responsibilities by Department Director, or Operations Manager.
  • Proper care of the clients in accordance with the departmental and hospital policies and procedures is required.
  • May be responsible for assigned areas to assume responsibilities of supervision or instruction to department personnel as determined by Department Director.
  • Practices infection control and body substance isolation in clinical practice in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Demonstrates proper operation of PACS, HIS and RIS computer systems.
  • Demonstrates ability to operate and troubleshoot PACs applications.
  • Attends annual mandatory education to include blood borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation.
  • Maintains department competencies as required.
  • Must be proficient in Abdominal, Pelvic, and Obstetrical, dvt studies of arms and legs and obtaining images using portable equipment.
  • Must be familiar with sterile technique and set up of sterile trays.
  • Ability to function independently and proficiently.
  • Must be able to move and lift patients, equipment, and supplies on a regular basis.
  • Ability to function in a high stress, work intensive environment.
  • Ability to stand/walk up to 6 hours per 8-hour shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. intermittently throughout shift.
  • Ability to lift over 100 lbs. without assistance and/or mechanical aid.
  • Must possess sight/hearing senses or use of prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of the position can be fully met.
  • Ability to speak, read and understand the English language in an understandable manner.

Requirements:

  • 2+ year current Ultrasound Tech experience
  • OB experience REQUIRED
  • Vascular experience preferred
  • Certification as an RVT through the ARDMS, RVS through the CCI - Preferred
  • Meditech Expanse experience preferred

  • 1 Supervisory Signed Reference (from within the past two years of employment)
  • License/Certifications - Must be uploaded with profile (ARRT, BLS - Facility will not pend license/certs)

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :

  • RDCS
  • ARDMS
  • BLS (AHA)

ADDITIONAL LICENSE REQUIREMENTS :

  • RCS; CCI certification accepted
