Pain Management Specialist

Locum Tenens Anesthesiologists are sought after by Ascend Medical Staffing.
Position Details:
- Coverage required Monday through Friday, with shifts starting at 7:00 AM and concluding at 3:00 PM; extended coverage until 5:00 PM is preferred but not mandatory.
- Candidates must have a minimum of 2 weeks of availability each month to be considered.
- No on-call duties, weekends, or holidays required (unless the candidate expresses interest in weekend on-call opportunities).
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible/Board Certified (BE/BC) with an active medical license (South Carolina or willingness to obtain).
- Clean malpractice history and NPDB report.
- Required certifications include ABLS, ACLS, and BLS.
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Manage a variety of cases including bread and butter procedures.
- Comfort with trauma, major vascular surgeries, and craniotomies is essential.
- Experience in gynecological procedures is beneficial, though obstetrics is not required.
- No cardiac cases involved.
- Out-of-OR responsibilities may include MRI and interventional radiology.
- Involvement in endoscopic, orthopedic, pediatric, neurological, thoracic, and regional anesthesia cases.
- Supervision of CRNAs with a ratio of up to 1:4.
- Responsible for overseeing 3-4 operating rooms.
